Learning Essentials Video Series

The SRC Learning Essentials video series is a collection of short, highly informative, video training sessions focused on subjects relevant to courses, exams, and certifications in the SRC program. You can leverage the videos to learn about new service routing topics for the first time, including how to use and configure them, or refresh your existing knowledge base.

The content for each video is adapted from SRC course material and contains a combination of lecture and router CLI demonstrations showing how to configure and provision the equipment. Videos are led by members of the SRC subject matter experts team.

Video Series 1:
Preparing for the NRS II certification exams

This series consists of six videos designed to help viewers prepare for the three NRS II written exams and the NRS II practical lab exam. Visit the NRS II certification web page to learn more about NRS II courses, written exams, and lab exam.

Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) in Layer 2 Services

This video introduces Maximum Transmission Unit and explains why it is such an important factor in Layer 2 services. The video describes the key MTU entities and calculations, as well as the dependencies between them. Viewers will learn how to configure and verify the different MTU entities of a Layer 2 service on a Nokia Service Router.

Spoke and Mesh SDPs

This series consists of three videos on how to protect and secure Nokia 7750 service routers and networks. Content for the videos are adapted from the SRC course Nokia Service Router and Network Security.

Management Access Filters (MAFs)and Control Plane Module (CPM)Filters

This video illustrates how management access filters (MAFs) and control plane module (CPM) filters can be used to protect the control plane on the CPM card. Viewers will learn the best practices to follow when implementing these filters in a network.

Control Plane Queuing

This video explains the three control plane queue types available on the CPM card: CPM queues, per protocol queues, and per peer queues. Viewers will learn how to configure and verify the operation of each type on a Nokia Service Router.

Control Processor Unit (CPU) Protection
