Get remote lab access to a Nokia optical lab
The service provides users with private, remote access to a hosted Nokia optical lab environment where users can practice and develop configuration, provisioning, and management skills.
There are three different types of labs available providing users with the flexibility to choose a lab-based on their training and testing needs. Labs are available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
Nokia 1830 Engineering and Planning Tool (EPT) lab
This lab is available for you to learn and practice optical network design skills with 1830 EPT. The service provides dedicated access to a Windows 7 virtual PC running a full instance of the 1830 EPT software. Access to the virtual PC is made via the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). You can use the 1830 EPT lab to re-visit and practice the lab exercises from ONC courses such as Nokia Fundamentals of Optical Network Design or Nokia Advanced Optical Network Design. You can also explore 1830 EPT, as well as work with and test proposed network designs.
Nokia 1830 Photonic Service Switch (PSS) lab
This lab is available for you to learn and practice optical networking skills with 1830 PSS. The service provides dedicated access to a network of three 1830 PSS-32 nodes. Access to the 1830 PSS-32 nodes are made via telnet or web browser. You can use the 1830 PSS lab to re-visit and practice the lab exercises from ONC courses such as Nokia Optical Diagnostics and Troubleshooting. You can also explore the 1830 PSS, as well as practice and develop your optical networking skills and knowledge.
